Accelerated
Scholars Program
For eligible students who seek to accelerate
their high school and college education,
Wentworth is pleased to
introduce our exclusive
early
entrance to college program. Successful
graduates will be awarded their high school
diploma and an Associate of Arts or an Associate
of Science degree, in just two years.
The
goal of the Accelerated Scholars Program is to
provide an academic program for high achieving
students that will enable them to accelerate
their baccalaureate progression while developing
leadership skills necessary to compete at the
highest levels.
According to the National Association for Gifted
Children (NAGC), Gifted Child Quarterly Summer
2003 Vol. 47, "Learning in a stimulating college
milieu with other students who are their
intellectual peers, early entrants are thought
to fare much better than those gifted teens who
remain under-challenged in high school and who
risk losing interest in academic pursuits."
